Teens Warn Teens: Stay Off Drugs and Alcohol
Peer pressure and environment may play a role in drug use, but the issue ultimately comes down to choice. Teens have the power to decide for themselves whether or not to drink and use drugs.
To take an anti-drug message seriously, teens need to see and hear from their peers the consequences of drug uses, said Vincent Yarbrough, producer of A Meeting at the Crossroads.
This honest, hard-hitting video shows teens and preteens the real consequences of drug and alcohol use. Teens in a juvenile detention facility tell how they got involved with drugs and talk about the negative consequences of their decisions. Their experiences serve as a strong warning to others.
The video also interviews teens in a Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) program who have committed to staying clean and sober. In a rare face-to-face meeting, the incarcerated teens and the teens in the SADD program discuss peer pressure and what it takes to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
This is a must-have for public school systems, high school counselors, alternative schools, agencies working with and supporting youth-at-risk, support groups for youth-at-risk, boys schools, girls schools, juvenile centers, and more!
Yarbrough is available for media interviews, appearances, seminars, and workshops. He would be a great addition to motivational segments on keeping teens drug-free. To view video clips from A Meeting at the Crossroads, visit www.jistlife.com.
