New–Berks County Parks and Recreation Department's Web site! Check it out at www.co.berks.pa.us/parks. Need to make plans for a day trip or picnic gathering? Check out the new Web site for Berks County Parks and Recreation Department. By keying in the Berks County Goverment’s web page, www.co.berks.pa.us, through your browser you can easily navigate to the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department. At that site you may choose Parks and Recreation under the “Select Department” button located on the right, or, on the left side of this page click “Travel & Recreation.” You can bypass the extra clicking by simply adding /parks to the County’s web site address: www.co.berks.pa.us/parks. Upcoming events will be displayed on the home page two weeks in advance, or by selecting “Upcoming Events” in the right hand column, visitors can view the entire calendar year of events. Clicking “Berks County Parks” on the left, allows users to view a map of park locations which can be quite helpful in planning a driving route. Other selections include a map of the Union Canal towpath, sports activities in the park, summer concert series and much more. |
