Bright Beginnings The American Academy of Pediatrics is supporting a new language development program called Bright Beginnings, for children under age three. The program builds on research showing that the amount of talking and encouragement children experience during the first three years of life makes a difference in their development and academic success. The Language Power program includes two books, Language Power and My First Picture Book. The program provides parents with tools and techniques to assist them in increasing play and language interactions with their child.
